The Salt and Light, Hands and Feet of Christ

On any given Sunday morning, this is a taste of what you can expect. Our service starts at 10:30 am, but our choir and worship team do sound checks before, so the Sanctuary is open and people involved are often mingling and catching up. When you take a bulletin, you will¬†find many people on our symbolic “front porch”; a lobby area with chairs and coffee service near the glass doors entrance.

Our services start with a prelude by our organist Laurie to prepare our hearts for worship. Rev. Nick, or the speaking pastor, will welcome us to service and we will have a brief time of announcements for upcoming events and updates. We move into a section of service that reflects both traditional and modern worship music. There is a pastor-led children’s chat before the kids are dismissed for Children’s Church or Toddler Time (childcare and programming from ages Infant-5th grade). Here at UCC we are a family church. If your child cries or runs down the aisle to the front, we likely won’t bat an eye. No need to be embarrassed. Jesus said “Let the little children come to me!”

An anthem from our choir (all weeks but the summer season) and an offertory precede the scriptures and the message, and we close once again with a time of worship. The Pastor will be at the door to greet and receive you on your way out. Our service is typically 75-90 minutes with communion on the first Sunday of every month. We are a family church, so come as you are, whether that be casual or dressed to the 9’s. Either way, we welcome you in.

Parking is available on the street or in the Off Track Betting (OTB) or Pioneer Bank lots nearby.
